    Mick Ives

Team Jewson—M.I.Racing—Thule=--CNP, Owner and Team Director—Mick Ives ( Baginton ) showed signs of getting back to some sort of form , when he won the fastest Veteran on Standard award , in the tough Wyre Forest 14 ml Hilly Time Trial, Nr Gt Whitley Worcestershire on Saturday.

Challenge ride from Coventry to Much Wenlock ( Shropshire ) –the birthplace of the Modern day Olympic Games—the 186 ml ride was the idea of Ives to celebrate both the Olympic Games and the fact that the first 3 Cycle Racing events were won by Coventry Cyclist Tom Sabin from Earlsdon—riders wishing to participate in the Challenge can obtain details from  enquires@transport-museum.co.uk max of 50 riders will be on the ride, so interested riders better hurry.

About
  • History

M.I. Racing was formed in 1997 by Mick Ives, and has been one of the U.K.'s most successful Cycling racing Teams ever since. During that period, the Team has won over 1,000 races, all over the U.K. and mainland Europe.

    Our Major Success's include...

    • 8 U.C.I. World Masters Cycling Championships
    • 8 Silver Medals in U.C.I. World Cycling Championships
    • 2 Bronze Medal in U.C.I. World Cycling Championships
    • 2 European Cycling Championships
    • Over 50 British Cycling Championships
    • 1 Bronze Medal World Age Related Triathlon Championships

The Team competes in all types of Cycle Racing; Road Racing, Track, Time Trials, Triathlons and Cyclo Cross. From January 1st to December 31st (unlike most teams, who only compete for about 6 months of the year).

The Teams youngest racing member is 16 years old, its oldest is 75 years old. We have 3 Triathletes who represented Great Britain in the last 2 seasons. We have a crack junior Squad of 4 riders. The top veteran road team in the UK and top veteran cross team in the UK.

We promote events to the highest level - how many teams can quote these fact?
