Mick Ives Sets New National Record

Team Boss of Coventrys most successful  Cycling Team EVER–“Team Jewson–M.I.Racing–Polypipe”–Mick Ives who lives at Baginton Nr Coventry, set new British Championship records , when he won his 80th British Cycling Championship on Sunday–75 yr old Ives won the L.V.R.C. National Time Trial Championships for riders 75 and over, on the tough Napton–Southam–Daventry course, the 20 mile race included 2 climbs of Shuckborough Hill, and 1 climb of Staverton hill , Ives’s tally of Championship victories come from Road Racing–Time Trials–Cyclo Cross–Mt Bike–Tandem and Hill Climbs, during a career spanning 57 years, in fact 57 yrs none stop racing Summer and Winter, something that no other rider has ever done with out a break. Add to that 5. U.C.I .World Masters Cyclo Cross Championships–1. I.C.F. World Masters Mt Bike Championship and 1 W.A.O.D. Champion Twelves Wins Again

National Champion Mike Twelves was a most impressive winner of Rd 3 of “Percy Stallard” National Road Race series, following a brilliant display of attacking riding. Team Jewson–M.I.Racing–Polypipe rider Twelves a former Professional and International rider, showed his class, by  breaking away on his own for over 30 miles on a tough, very open circuit, made even harder by gale force winds, at Limber , Nr Grimsby Lincolnshire against the best Veteran riders in the U.K. before being caught by 2 other riders a few miles from the finish–he finished the job off,  by winning the sprint for victory!  Twelves has now won all 3 of the events in the 6 event series and has a clear lead in the overall competition–he won the series last year as well.  With 3 events remaining , it looks very unlikely that he will be beaten., for the Championship.  In the race for riders 70+  World Track Champion Derrick Woodings finished...
