About

MI Racing was formed in 1997 by Mick Ives and had been one of the UK’s most successful cycling racing teams ever since.  During that period the team has won over 1000 races all over the UK and mainland Europe.

Our major successes include:

  • 8 UCI World Masters Cycling Championships

  • 8 Silver Medals in U.C.I. World Cycling Championships

  • 2 Bronze Medal in U.C.I. World Cycling Championships

  • 2 European Cycling Championships

  • Over 50 British Cycling Championships

  • 3 European Triathlon medals, 2 European Aquathlon medals and 1 European Duathlon medal

  • 1 Bronze Medal World Age Related Triathlon Championships

The Team competes in all types of Cycle Racing; Road Racing, Track, Time Trials, Triathlons, Mountain Biking, Tandem Races, Hill Climbs and Cyclo Cross. From January 1st to December 31st (unlike most teams, who only compete for about 6 months of the year).

The Teams youngest racing member is 16 years old, its oldest is 78 years old. We have 3 Triathletes who represented Great Britain in the last 2 seasons. We are currently developing a young road squad as part of the team. The top veteran road team in the UK and top veteran cross team in the UK.

The team organised 5 Open Cycle Races in 2013 and 6 + Summer Circuit series in 2014
